Missionary:      LAURA LEWIS

With H*VMI Since: 2006

What I do at H*VMI:

• Director of Disability Training
• Teach in various Bible Studies
• Assist with Handi*Camp

About Me:

Family: I am happily married to my husband, Landon, since November 2006. Both of our families are full of wonderful people whom we love to spend time with.
 
Hobbies: I love to read, watch movies, and spend time with friends.
 
Background: I have a degree in Special Education from Eastern University. I've been so blessed with opportunities to provide respite care for several children with autism and I currently also work at home for people with Traumatic Brain Injuries. My time working at camps for people with disabilities and volunteering at group homes have also been learning experiences.
 
My Life Verse: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:13-16)

• Pray for wisdom and creativity while planning Bible study lessons and Training seminars.
• Pray that attendees would grow in their love for people with disabilities and understanding of how God can use them in disability ministry.
