Is it really possible to praise God after the death of a child?  We’ve seen Him work in the lives of grieving parents through H*VMI’s BASIS ministry.  There is hope for the hurting.

Along with monthly support groups, BASIS provides opportunity for parents who have lost a child through death to fellowship with one another at an annual breakfast.  On October 2nd, 2010 they will hold their second special service in remembrance of these precious children.  In addition, Judy Blore, our BASIS Director, recently began the BASIS Comfort Blog as an ongoing source of encouragement, comfort, and hope.

Would you please consider joining us in a number of ways?

1. Come and participate.  You’ll have fun, fellowship, and know you’re helping the work.
2. Contribute to BASIS even if you can’t come.  What a help that would be.
3. Pray for the success of the day and that God will continue to use BASIS to encourage the brokenhearted.

We’re so encouraged by more than 1000 friends and ministry partners who have been celebrating H*VMI’s anniversary with us: sending in congratulatory cards and notes, giving anniversary gifts and attending our October 10-11, 2008 weekend events. People from around the country – and around the world – have been rejoicing with us over God’s faithfulness to this ministry for the past 35 years.
 
We’re so blessed that, even in these very difficult economic times, $85,000.00 has been received toward our $350,000.00 goal. 

We’re looking forward to what God has planned for H*VMI in the coming years. For now, we bask in the incredible joy H*VMI has had serving Him, beginning in 1973, to 2008.
