Two Major Goals of Minds Renewed:
- helping people obtain optimal health (Interwoven Health™)
- addressing mental health issues
|
The first goal of Minds Renewed is to help individuals obtain optimal mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.
Minds Renewed calls our overall health Interwoven Health because God tells us in Psalm 139:13 that He knit us together in our mother's womb. God lovingly wove each of us together with the parts of our bodies, minds, emotions and spirits.
Interwoven Health is the health of every aspect of an individual: the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual that was knit together by God.
The second goal of Minds Renewed is helping people address mental health issues personally or with a loved one.
Addressing mental health issues can be devastating but it can also be a time for personal growth.
The Minds Renewed ministry strives to reach the two major goals by:
- Spiritual support
- Supplying referrals and resources
- Seminars
- Support groups
- Special Events
A Minds Renewed Support Group is a support system designed to help members address mental illness personally or with a loved one as they work on their own personal Interwoven Health.
"Minds Renewed has been such a blessing to me and all the people who have been part of it... It is so unique: a place for us to be honest about the battles that rage within us and get unconditional love and acceptance. We encourage one another and give each other hope... We talk about new scientific findings, new medicines ... what things can help lift depression... But, always accompanying every meeting we refocus on God ..." --a support group member
The Minds Renewed staff will also work with church leadership to tailor a seminar, support group or other type of ministry that would best meet the Interwoven Health and/or mental health needs of that particular church.
