Missionary:      MARK & JODIE AMEY

With H*VMI Since: 1998

What we do at H*VMI:

• Mark is the Assistant Director of Handi*Camp and a Discipleship Team Member
• Jodie had been the Nurse Manager for Handi*Camp for 11 years and will continue as an assistant nurse. She helps with Discipleship ministries' Bible clubs and Bible Studies, as well as doing one-on-one discipleship.

About Us:

Family: We have been married since 1984. We don't have any children. We live in Vineland, NJ. We spent a number of years as missionaries in East Africa before joining H*VMI. Mark has two brothers (one older and one younger, both of whom live in NJ) and an older sister (who lives in KY). All are in Christian ministry. Mark's dad retired from the pastorate and lives in NJ. Jodie has two older sisters. Her parents are both in heaven.
 
Background: Mark graduated in 1977 with a degree in education from Asbury College. During his time in East Africa, he worked with small groups in Bible Studies and discipleship ministry, in addition to teaching in a classroom setting. This helped prepare him for the one-on-one and small groups he now does with H*VMI.
 
Jodie grew up in Salem, NJ, graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA with her RN, from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY with a BA in English, from Marion College with a BSN, and from Indiana Wesleyan University with an MSN.
 
Hobbies: Mark likes to read, walk and do Sudoku. Jodie likes to read, travel, and try new foods (ethnic).

Please Pray for Us:

• Pray Mark can help the Handi*Camp director in each responsibility he gives him.
• Pray God would provide an RN to be Nurse Manager at Handi*Camp so Jodie can transition into being an assistant nurse.
• Please pray for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as we visit and share with campers and their families.
• Pray we follow closely after all God desires for us to be and do so that we bring Him glory.
