What I do at H*VMI:

• Work with the Disability Training team by presenting seminars and workshops
• Coordinate the Spiritual Life program for Handi*Camp
• Teach and help prepare Bible teaching materials for Handi*Camp

About Me:

Family: The Lord has given me many dear friends and special relationships through the H*VMI family. I've enjoyed being "Aunt Patti" to my co-worker's children and the campers I've been blessed to care for in my home in Lancaster, PA.
 
Hobbies: I enjoy vacationing at the beach, reading, listening to music and loving a special miniature schnauzer named "Zach".
 
Background: I graduated with a degree in Special Education from Slippery Rock University in 1976 and began teaching special education in Corry, PA. In 1978 I became a missionary with Children’s Bible Fellowship of New York and served as a special education teacher and houseparent for children with physical and mental disabilities. During that time I received my Master's Degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut University. In 1986 I completed a one year Biblical studies program at Philadelphia Biblical University in preparation for becoming a missionary with H*VMI.
 
I've had the privilege and blessing of teaching God's Word to people with disabilities for over 30 years. My "students" have greatly blessed and enriched my life. They have been my teachers! I've also been blessed with opportunities both in the United States and overseas to train and equip others for ministry with people who have disabilities.
 
My Life Verse: "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Eph. 2:10)
