BASIS - for bereaved parents and their families
The death of a child is like no other loss. The grief is profound and deep. Our BASIS staff, including some who have personally experienced losing a child, is willing to walk alongside and help "bear the burden" of grieving parents who have lost a child for any reason, whether that child is not yet born, stillborn, a baby, a toddler, a teen or an adult. The BASIS support system includes:
opportunities for personal contact
support groups specifically for parents who have lost a child at any age, including miscarriage or stillbirth
a Podcast by bereaved parents, for bereaved parents
group activities (scheduled events will appear on our Upcoming Events Page)
resources for parents or those wanting to support parents
Support for those grieving over many types of losses such as the loss of a spouse, parents, siblings and other significant people; divorce; employment; health
