Tim and Kathy Sheetz
Missionaries serving with H*VMI since 1973.
MINISTRY: Tim is the founder and Executive Director of H*VMI. Kathy is his happy wife and H*VMI's Executive Secretary.
BACKGROUND: We were married in 1964. Tim is an ordained minister. Kathy is a former schoolteacher. We served with another mission agency for people with disabilities before God called us to establish H*VMI.
FAMILY: We have two INCREDIBLE daughters who, along with their WONDERFUL husbands, have given us four SPECTACULAR grandchildren. Daughter, Sandra, and her husband, Daniel Wyllie, live in NV. Danny is second in charge of the TSA at Las Vegas Airport. Sandra teaches at Lake Mead Christian Academy where their youngest son, Ben, now a senior, attends. Sandra is also working with a business partner to develop “Beyond the Books” Literary Tours of England. This spring they will be conducting their 7th and 8th tours. The Wyllies firstborn, Savannah, married Ethan Wallace on May 20, 2017. They met at and graduated from Liberty University in 2016. Ethan will soon be starting law school. Micah, the Wyllie’s middle child is in his second year at Liberty University, on track to finish in three years, as did his sister. Daughter, Lori, is married to Mark Herson, They live in PA. Mark works for security at QVC at their TV studio site and is an important part of the worship team at their church. Lori home-schools Elle, now in 6th grade. Lori also directs Elle’s home-school campus and is Director of Children’s Ministries at the Herson’s church. Elle is a budding actress, just seven years old when she was first on a public stage. She has performed with the American Music Theater, Piercing Word and Servant Stage, all theater groups in Lancaster, PA.
HOBBIES: Tim loves sports - participation and spectator. Kathy loves to read, especially Christian historical novels.
LIFE VERSE: The verse we adopted at our marriage is Psalm 34:3, "O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His Name together."
