Tim and Kathy Sheetz

Missionaries serving with H*VMI since 1973.

MINISTRY: Tim is the Founder and Ministry Ambassador of H*VMI. Kathy is his happy wife and an H*VMI Ministry Secretary. Even with both of us being octogenarians, we’re loving ministering full-time with H*VMI in the office, in support groups, in Bible clubs and Handi*Camp and serving on H*VMI’s Training Team.

BACKGROUND: We were married in 1964. Tim is an ordained minister. Kathy is a former schoolteacher. We served with another mission agency for people with disabilities before God called us to establish H*VMI.

FAMILY: We have two INCREDIBLE daughters who, along with their WONDERFUL husbands, have given us four SPECTACULAR grandchildren. Marriage boosted the grandchildren number by three!

Daughter, Sandra, and her husband, Daniel, live in NV where Dan is second in charge of the TSA at Las Vegas Airport. Sandra is Head of the English Department and teaches at a Christian Academy in Henderson. She also, with a business partner, operates a travel company, “Beyond the Books Tours.com,” Literary Tours of England, Scotland and Ireland with a God View. Their firstborn, Savannah, is a lawyer at a firm in Henderson NV. Her husband, Ethan, is a full partner at a law firm in Las Vegas. They are expecting a son, Declan, in September 2026. Micah, their middle child, works for MGM Entertainment in Digital Security. His wife, Lindsey, is the head of HR for a law firm in Las Vegas. They have a daughter, Avery, one-year old in August 2026. Daniel and Sandra’s youngest child, Ben, is a salesman for an HVAC company in Henderson NV. His wife, Cassidy, works in the administrative department for a law firm in Las Vegas. They are expecting a baby in March 2027.

Daughter, Lori, is married to Mark. They live in PA. Mark works for QVC Security locally but is involved in their security program worldwide. Lori is Director of Children’s Ministries at their church. Their daughter, Elle, is in her junior year at Regent University, pursuing a double major in Communications and Theater. She is in leadership roles in many campus organizations, while also maintaining a high GPA in Regent’s Honors College.  She was just seven years old when she was first on a public stage. Before graduating high school, she had already performed with the American Music Theater, Piercing Word, Servant Stage and CAVOD Performing Arts Theater in Lancaster PA and SALT Performing Arts Theater in West Chester, PA in addition to other theater groups and film and tv opportunities.

HOBBIES: Tim loves sports. Kathy loves to read, especially Christian historical novels.

LIFE VERSE: The verse we adopted at our marriage is Psalm 34:3, "O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His Name together."
