Confidence, Comfort & Courage

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

While reading Deuteronomy 31, it was quite clear that God was changing the guard so to speak, from Moses to Joshua. Moses says in verse 2 that he was now 120 years old and that the Lord had told him that he would not be the one to lead the people across the Jordan River. This would not happen because of an incident that happened at Kadesh (Numbers 20:1-13). He told them that God would use Joshua to guide the Israelites into the land of Caanan!

Moses did not just lay out God's plan but he proclaimed that they would not be alone - that the Lord would give them the confidence, comfort and courage to move forward to an uncertain future.

Sometimes we may be in this same position in life and ministry. We may be searching for the next direction or plan of how we can minister more effectively but we are afraid to take that step. Be encouraged that you are not alone. God walks beside you each step of the way. He is the one who gives us the confidence, comfort and courage to step outside of our comfort zone and move forward.

Commit to Him your concerns, fears and anxieties and trust Him because He desires to lead you to the promised land!
