Who Is God?
/Who is God?
The Bible depicts Him in so many meaningful ways. Here are just a very few:
Genesis 1:1 tells us He is the Creator of all things.
Genesis 16:13 – He is the God Who sees us!
Psalm 34:17 – He hears our cries.
Psalm 55:22 – He sustains us when we’re burdened.
Psalm 73:28 – He is our refuge.
Psalm 103:19 reminds us that He is Sovereign over ALL things.
Psalm 103 tells us many more things about God: He is the One Who forgives our sins and has redeemed our life, heals our diseases, is compassionate and gracious, provides good things to us, renews our strength, is slow to anger, is abounding in mercy, is just…
Psalm 139 indicates that He knows us intimately and is always with us.
Psalm 145 reveals that He provides for us, sustains us, satisfies us and, again is always near to us.
Psalm 146 – He gives us help – and hope!
Which of these attributes of God do you need most in your grief? He is all of the above and so much more. Where can you find the so-much-more? In His precious Word. Don’t neglect it especially in the depths of your grief.
David Jeremiah: “…it’s not how much faith you have. It’s how much Jesus you know. The more you hear of Him, the more you’ll see the reasonableness of your faith in Him.”
Hudson Taylor: “You do not need a great faith, but faith in a great God!”
Dear friends, He is a GREAT God. He’s exactly Who we need when life seems to have handed us the worst!!!
